Trip Description : Start from your hotel at 9 a.m. for a 15-20 minute drive to Pai River. Travel by boat throught afforested countryside with charming views to the Burmese border and return to the Paduang (Long Neck) Karen village of refugees from Burma. Originally semi-nomadic farmers in the jungle, they now reply for income form the sale of handicrafts and donations form visitors (made by our guide on your behalf). The women wear striking cloathing and the neck rings from wihich the name derives. Return by boat and drive to the elephant camp for a ride on elephant back into the forest. After lunch drive to Mae Hong Son for afternoon tour of the temples of King Moo, Phra Non, and the twin temples Pakeside of Jong Klang and Jong Kam. Return to your hotel.
